How To Be More Positive & Happy

The ultimate goal of life is to be happy right? It only makes sense to improve our peace of mind as we navigate throughout life. It will keep you always feeling good, developing, and never slowing down no matter what curveballs life throws at you. These are some simple techniques to become a happy man today.

Working Out

This makes you happier in two different ways. The first is through bettering your physique and health. If you have more muscle, less body fat and feel better about your appearance then you will experience more happiness. The second way working out makes you happier is through increased testosterone and serotonin. Getting a good workout in and staying consistent feels awesome and you'll be proud of yourself.

Eat Healthy

A very overlooked way to feel better on a daily basis is through what you eat. Did you know that 90% of your serotonin is made in your gut and transported to your brain? This means that the quality of food you eat directly correlates to how you feel. Try incorporating:

  • More vegetables.

  • More fruit.

  • Drinking more water.

  • Cutting out sugar, unhealthy fats and carbs.

  • Smoking less.

  • Drinking alcohol less.

  • Eat more lean protein.

  • Eating complex carbs.

  • Eating healthy fats.

  • Taking supplements like fish oil or a multivitamin.

Doing this day in and day out will make you healthier and feel better.

Gratitude

We all have things in our life we should be grateful for. From family, friends, food, to shelter, odds are if you're reading this you have some amazing things around you. Take the time daily to reflect on the incredible things you have going for you. Is it a high paying job? Supportive friends and family? Good health? Pay attention to these things and you will begin to be happier.

This is a proven way to increase happiness, focus, and presence in your life. Begin by sitting down in a comfortable position and closing your eyes. Take deep breathes and bring your full awareness to every one. When your mind wonders to a different thought or feeling, bring your focus back to your breathing. Continue doing this for 5 to 10 minutes. You will feel refreshed after doing it even once let alone on a regular basis.
